REALTORs….who do you love? Who do you really enjoy working with? Who do you feel really appreciates you and the way you do business? Who do you love to call and chat with? Who do you think would become a special friend in your life if you had more time to nurture that? Who actually thanks you after the transaction? Who is it, that tells people about you? Who is your best referral source? Who are the people that you know who would absolutely, without a doubt call you about anything? Who is on your A+ list of clients? What are their personality types? Who do they like to hang out with? What are their tastes, in decor, clothing, restaurants, cars, entertainment? Who are these people…..Who do you love?
If you have a hard time answering this question then you need to ask these questions over and over again until you know those answers. THIS IS YOUR TARGET MARKET! THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT SHOULD BE 80% OF YOUR BUSINESS AND THE PEOPLE WHO YOU SHOULD BE SPENDING 80% OF YOUR TIME ON….
The Challenge sometimes is that we spend on average 80% of our time on the really hard 20% of our business. These are the people that drive you nuts. The people that are not your favorite. The people that give you a knot in your stomach. The people that you may like and appreciate but don’t really get a warm fuzzy from….
Know it….understand it….and make the necessary corrections and you will really enjoy your business a lot more…
Also this is who you should be speaking to in all of your marketing….in everything. The colors you use…the visual “look” of your marketing, the words that you use….and the type of listings that you should be attracting….
